Both apps use the same protocol. Persona supports their v2 format, so this source type works with either iFacialMocap or Facemotion3d
Setting It Up
- Add a source of this kind in Persona, assign it avatars, and enable face tracking
- Start iFacialMocap or Facemotion3d on the phone. If it asks for a destination address, enter your computer's local IP — the Local IP Address card in the Tracking section lists them
Ports
Persona listens on UDP 49983 and sends periodic connection requests so the app starts streaming
That port is the source's own Port field and can be changed per source — enter the same number on the phone. Unlike VMC, several iFacialMocap sources may share one port: they are told apart by Tracker IP, not by port
When broadcasts cannot get through, the PERSONA_IFM_PHONE_IP environment
variable replaces discovery entirely and connects directly to the specified phone address. See
Troubleshooting
