Opinionated and Hackable VTubing Tool
LAPLACE Persona is a VTubing app that’s compatible with VTube Studio.
Currently in alpha
A few things it does differently from VTube Studio:
- VTS runs on Unity, so every launch is basically booting a game. Persona is built on web tech: much lighter on resources, still a steady 60 FPS.
- Transparent OBS overlay out of the box, no Spout or other plugins needed.
- Works with the face tracking apps you already have, including VTS and iFacialMocap.
- Runs natively on macOS, no Rosetta.
- Continuous maintenance and updates™
- Free.
Not implemented yet:
- LipSync
- Public API
- Hotkey support
- VTS-style visual effects
- Leap Motion and Tobii integration
Not planned:
- Cubism 2 and older models
- Webcam or NVIDIA Broadcast face tracking
