Persona

iFacialMocap / Facemotion3d

Both apps share the same underlying protocol. Persona supports their v2 data format, allowing a single source type to receive data from either iFacialMocap or Facemotion3d.

Setup

  1. Add a source of this type in Persona, assign it an avatar, and enable face tracking.
  2. Launch iFacialMocap or Facemotion3d on the mobile device. If prompted for a target IP address, enter the local IP of the computer running Persona — displayed in the Local IP Address card under the Tracking panel.

Port Configuration

Persona listens on UDP port 49983 by default and periodically transmits connection handshake packets to initiate streaming.

This port corresponds to the source's Port setting and can be customized per source — configure the same port number in the mobile app. Unlike VMC, multiple iFacialMocap sources can share the same port simultaneously: incoming streams are distinguished by Tracker IP rather than dedicated ports.

For the full list of parameters carried by this source, see What Each Source Carries.
