VRM Motions

Open a VRM avatar’s Motions section to play clips. Imported animation clips can also be used for idle or walking.

Motion Clips

Persona bundles seven VRM Animation (.vrma) clips licensed from pixiv's VRoid Project. These clips can be played on any loaded VRM model, as VRMA animations are fully decoupled from specific character meshes:

Show Full Body · Greeting · Peace Sign · Shoot · Spin · Model Pose · Squat

Each clip plays as a one-shot action: it fades in smoothly over the idle animation, briefly holds its final frame, and eases back into the idle state rather than cutting abruptly. Procedural blinking continues running during playback. Clips are listed in the Motions section, matching the location of Live2D motion groups.

An active motion button doubles as a stop control: clicking it again immediately triggers a smooth ease-out back to the idle pose without waiting for the clip to conclude. Stopping via Automations executes the same graceful transition.

Clips are also cataloged in the Inventory under Animations, where clicking any entry previews the clip on the active avatar.

The Record Motion button at the top of the panel captures live tracking performances into new .vrma files (see Recording Motions).

Importing Animation Clips

The Animations inventory category supports .vrma, Mixamo .fbx, and MMD .vmd files. Mixamo and MMD clips are retargeted onto the VRM humanoid rig upon loading, functioning identically to native .vrma clips — usable as idle loops, one-shot triggers, or inventory preview assets.

Only the hips bone translates in space, and translation scale normalizes against the target model's proportions so walking clips fit any body size. Note that .fbx files without Mixamo humanoid rigs cannot be imported as animations.

MMD dance animations preserve leg inverse kinematics (IK): Persona recomputes foot and toe IK targets against the avatar's specific limb lengths to maintain accurate ground contact. Because retargeting targets the humanoid rig rather than a native PMX model, rigid-body physics from MMD are not imported; hair and clothing dynamics continue to be simulated via the model's native spring bones.
