Persona

Cubism Editor Link

Applies toLive2D

Persona connects to Live2D Cubism Editor's External Application Integration interface and streams the real-time parameter values of a Live2D model on stage into the same model open in the Editor. This lets riggers observe physics simulations and deformer behavior driven by live tracking data in the Editor's physics window, without repeated export cycles.

Prerequisites

  • Live2D Cubism Editor 5.1 or later (both FREE and PRO editions)
  • Enable the integration server in the Editor under File › External Application Integration Settings

On the first connection, the Editor displays an authorization prompt. Once approved, Persona stores the credential token and subsequent connections proceed silently.

Settings

Open Persona's Settings panel and expand the Cubism Editor section. Available options:

OptionDescription
EnabledConnect to or disconnect from Cubism Editor
HostAddress of the computer running Cubism Editor. Default 127.0.0.1 (localhost)
PortTCP port the Cubism Editor integration server listens on. Default 22033
Send ParametersStream the primary Live2D model's parameters into the model open in the Editor
Include Physics OutputsAlso send parameters driven by the stage model's physics engine, rather than leaving them to the Editor's own physics preview
Physics Window OnlyStream only while the Editor's physics window is in the foreground
Reload on ExportAutomatically reload a model on stage when the Editor exports over the files it was loaded from

While connected, a status line at the top of the section shows the name of the stage model currently streaming to the Editor and the send rate.

Model Matching

Multiple Live2D models may be loaded on stage simultaneously. Persona automatically selects the model whose parameter IDs overlap most with the model open in the Editor. When two models tie (e.g. two rigs derived from the same template), the selected model takes priority, then the primary model.

The Editor silently ignores parameter IDs its own model does not have, so shared parameters sync correctly even when the stage and Editor models are not identical.

Reload on Export

With Reload on Export enabled (the default), when Cubism Editor runs a runtime export and the exported .moc3 or .physics3.json path matches a Live2D model loaded on stage, Persona reloads that model in place — the model stays at its current position and state while its data files refresh.

For riggers, the workflow is straightforward: point the Editor's export folder at the directory Persona loaded the model from, and every export instantly updates the on-stage model without manual intervention. An export whose model is not on stage, or whose path points to a different copy of a same-named file, triggers no action.
