The LAPLACE Cycles Apple Watch companion is included with the iPhone app. It requires watchOS 11 or later, with LAPLACE Cycles installed on your paired iPhone. The watch app shares the exact same data model and prediction engine as the iPhone app, syncing profiles and logs seamlessly through iCloud rather than direct device-to-device transfers.
Profiles must be created on your iPhone first. They will appear on your watch automatically once iCloud sync completes between devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
Profile List
The watch app presents your profiles according to your chosen sort order. Each card displays:
- Name and pin indicator
- Current cycle phase and phase symbol, or Logged Period on recorded bleeding days
- Current cycle day and progress bar
- Predicted Next Period date, marked as Estimated or Rough Estimate
For visual clarity on compact displays, watch cards show no avatar or background photo.
Profile Details
Tap any profile card to view details and perform quick actions:
- Phase details: Tap Logged Period, Estimated Phase, or Rough Estimate to read an explanation of the current cycle status
- Log Period: Quickly record a period (defaults to today with a 1-day duration; adjust First Day and duration as needed)
- Estimated Ovulation Window: View predicted fertile dates along with the cycle length calculation behind them
- Period History: View the total logged period count and browse the six most recent entries. Tap any entry to edit its dates
- Pin Profile / Unpin Profile: Toggle whether the profile stays pinned at the top of your list
Logging and editing on Apple Watch performs the same safety checks as iPhone, preventing future dates and overlapping logs. No changes are saved until you tap Save.
Settings
Scroll to the bottom of the watch's profile list to access Settings:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Sort By | The same four sort orders available on iPhone, with pinned profiles always first |
| Language | Select System Default, English, 简体中文, or 繁體中文. Changes apply exclusively to this watch |
| Data & Sync | View current iCloud status. Tap Check iCloud to refresh the connection status |
Preferences configured on the watch—such as sort order and app language—remain local to the watch and do not alter settings on your iPhone.
iPhone Only
The following actions must be managed on your iPhone:
- Creating, editing, or deleting profiles, and setting custom background photos
- Deleting period logs from history
- Purchasing or restoring Unlimited Profiles
- Configuring reminders
- Setting up calendar sync, Apple Health, and backups
