Chatterbox

Word Replacement

LAPLACE Chatterbox can replace words in a message automatically before the danmaku is sent, drawing on the cloud word list LAPLACE maintains or on your own local rules

Features

  • Cloud word list: maintained by LAPLACE, covering global replacement rules plus rules specific to individual live rooms; it syncs when the script loads and refreshes every 10 minutes
  • Local global rules: your own replacement rules, applied in every live room, taking priority over the cloud rules
  • Local room rules: replacement rules for one live room, active only in that room, with the highest priority
  • Priority order (later overrides earlier): global cloud word list → room cloud word list → local global rules → local room rules
  • Replacement rules apply to every danmaku send path, including Auto Send, regular sends, Simultaneous Interpretation, and Memes

Usage

Cloud Word List

  • The cloud word list syncs when the script loads; you can also trigger a sync manually with Sync in the Settings tab
  • The sync status shows the last sync time and how many rules apply to the current room (global + room-specific)
  • The Contribute Rules link opens GitHub, where you can submit new cloud replacement entries

Local Global Rules

  • Manage your custom rules in the Local Global Rules section of the Settings tab
  • Each rule has an Original and a Replacement field, both accepting any text
  • Rules apply in every live room and take priority over the cloud rules
  • Add or remove rules at any time; edits take effect immediately, with no page reload

Local Room Rules

  • Manage rules for a specific room in the Local Room Rules section of the Settings tab
  • The current room ID appears in the room list automatically once you enter a live room; you can also type a room ID to add another room
  • Each room carries its own replacement rules, active only in that live room
  • These have the highest priority and override both local global rules and cloud rules

Testing Word Lists

  • The Test Cloud Word List and Test Local Word List buttons send test danmaku to the current live room so you can verify the replacements
  • The test sends the original words one by one; when one is filtered out, the replacement goes out next, and the log shows the result

Notes

  • Word replacement applies only to plain-text danmaku; emotes (emoticon_unique) are sent as separate messages and are not replaced
  • Local word list rules live in the Tampermonkey / Violentmonkey script storage and are lost once you clear the script's data
