LAPLACE Chat

User Notes

Overview

The dashboard supports adding a local note to any user. Common uses:

  • Marking regulars who matter (for example "longtime fan" or "subtitle team lead")
  • Marking users who need extra attention (for example "blocklist" or "boyfriend fan")
  • Any scenario where you need to annotate or tag a user

Adding / Editing Notes

  • Click a sender's username on any event in the dashboard to open the user menu
  • Click the Note button (the 📝 icon)
  • Type the note in the dialog that opens; multi-line text is supported
  • Click Save

For a user who has a note, the note button in their user menu is highlighted, and hovering over it previews the note

The search dropdown automatically lists every user with a note, so you can find the viewers who matter without typing a username

Import / Export

The dashboard can import and export notes, for backups or for syncing them across several devices

Export

  • Open the settings panel in the dashboard sidebar
  • Scroll to the User Notes section
  • Click Export User Notes…
  • A JSON file with the .lcun extension downloads, named laplace-chat-user-notes-<timestamp>.lcun

The file structure:

{
  "version": 1,
  "timestamp": 1747000000000,
  "userNotes": [
    {
      "uid": 12345,
      "username": "示例用户",
      "note": "资深粉丝,2023 年起的字幕组组长"
    }
  ]
}

Import

  • Open the settings panel in the dashboard sidebar
  • Scroll to the User Notes section
  • Click Import User Notes…
  • Drop the .lcun file onto the upload area, or click to pick a file
  • Click Import to finish

Data Storage

  • Notes are stored in the browser's IndexedDB (the userNotes table)
  • Clearing browser data also clears every local note, so export a backup regularly
  • Notes are not translated and are never sent to any TTS or translation service
  • User History: pairs with user notes to identify and review the viewers who matter
  • LAPLACE Chat Archive: notes are separate from the event archive and must be imported and exported separately
