Overview

The LAPLACE Chat dashboard plays the animations of bilibili effect gifts, covering both official paid gifts and room-exclusive gifts

Automatic Playback

With Show Gift Effects Automatically enabled, the dashboard plays the matching animation whenever it receives a gift that carries one

• Open the dashboard → sidebar → Settings panel
• Find the Gift Effects section
• Check Show Gift Effects Automatically

Triggering by Value Threshold

To stop cheap gifts (a ¥1 gift, for instance) from flooding the screen with effects, set a minimum value threshold:

• In the Gift Effects section, find Show Effects Based on Gift Value
• Enter an amount (in CNY)
• An effect fires automatically only when the gift value is greater than or equal to the threshold

Set it to 10, for example, and only gifts worth ¥10 or more play their effect automatically

Manual Triggering

Whether or not automatic playback is on, you can click the gift icon on an event in the dashboard to play that gift's effect by hand

Where this fits:

• Turn automatic playback off and trigger by hand only when you want to, as a fixed "thanks for the gift" routine
• A small gift the threshold kept from playing automatically, which you still want to show the audience

Playback Queue

When several gifts that need an effect arrive at the same moment, the dashboard queues them and plays them one after another, so overlapping effects never turn into visual noise

Queue behavior:

• Plays in FIFO (first in, first out) order
• Each gift plays as many times as its amount field says (sending 10 gifts plays that effect 10 times)
• The next one starts only after the current effect finishes

Gift Cache

The dashboard automatically caches the effect configuration of every gift, along with the room-specific "custom chat emote → gift ID" mapping. After a new gift ships, the dashboard may need one refresh to pick up the latest effect configuration
