LAPLACE Chat

Save as Image

This feature shipped on Jun 28, 2026

Overview

Click any event's username in the dashboard to open the event menu, then choose Save as Image… to export that single event as a PNG image

The live preview in the dialog is the export itself — what you see is what you get. The exported image is a 2× resolution (retina) PNG, named laplace-chat-<roomId>-<eventType>-<uid>-<timestamp>.png

Export Width

Drag the handle on the right edge of the preview left or right to adjust the export width, 300–600 px, 480 px by default. The current width shows in the bottom-left corner of the dialog

Export Options

Click the Export Options button at the bottom of the dialog to expand the options below. All of them are saved locally and reused on your next export:

OptionDescription
Fan MedalWhether the exported image shows the fan medal
Blur UsernameBlurs the username to protect viewer privacy when sharing publicly
Blur AvatarBlurs the avatar to protect viewer privacy when sharing publicly
Ignore Read StateRenders in the unread style, so the exported image avoids the grayed-out look of a read event
WatermarkAppends an attribution bar below the event with the LAPLACE Chat mark, the streamer name, and the event time
Extra PaddingAdds padding around the event so the content is not flush against the image edges
BackgroundTransparent (default), white, or black. A transparent background keeps the PNG's alpha channel
ThemeLight / Dark

The time in the watermark always shows in China Standard Time (UTC+8), formatted as YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm, regardless of your own time zone. When the streamer name cannot be resolved, it falls back to #<roomId>

Copy to Clipboard

Besides Save Image, you can copy the image straight to the clipboard:

  • Click Copy to Clipboard in the dialog
  • Or click the copy button to the right of Save as Image… in the event menu to copy quickly with the last export options, without opening the dialog
  • User History: locate the past event you want to export
  • Templates: exported images use the template styles you currently have enabled
